Straight-Line and Quadratic Graph Plotter
Move the sliders to see the graph change, then practise drawing a graph from a table of values.
🔭 Explore: move the sliders
📘 Learn it: how to draw and read a graph
Four short cards. Read them, then try it yourself below.
✍️ Try it yourself: from table to graph
Fill in the table. Your points appear on the small graph. Wrong answers turn red with a hint.
Try these
- Set c = 3 and move m. What stays the same? (The line always crosses the y-axis at 3.)
- Make m negative. Which way does the line lean?
- Switch to the curve and change a from positive to negative. What happens to the shape?
- Set a = 1, b = 0, c = −4. Where does the curve cross the x-axis? Those two points are the roots of x² − 4 = 0.
